Sparkle Club donates 2 ACs under ‘Choti Si Muskan’ initiative

JAMMU, Aug 1: Sparkle Club under its ‘Choti Si Muskan’ initiative has donated 2 Air Conditioners (ACs) to the cancer ward of SMGS Hospital here today.
The Club has initiated a project called ‘Choti Si Muskan’ under the leadership of Project Head Benu Lakra in which they have adopted the paedriatic ward of Oncology SMGS in providing nutrition and hygiene to inmates undergoing the treatment of cancer.
This donation was accompanied by chemotherapy sponsorship, installation of electric water coolers and RO.
“We tried to bring back the long gone smile on the small faces of children by surprising them with toys, foot-wears and various fascinating accessories that might just for some time make them see the bright side of life”, said Project Head Benu Lakra.
Project Head said that the mission behind this donation is to create healing and healthy environment in the hospitals. “Our hope is that these little things will improve their quality of life, promote strength, imagination, self-worth, and aid in their recovery processes”, Lakra said.
Among others present were Dr Ghanshyam Saini, Professor and Head of Department Pediatrics SMGS Hospital Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Digra, Professor and Head of Unit Department of Pediatrics SMGS Hospital Jammu, Dr Ashu Jamwal, Professor and Head of Unit Department of Pediatrics, Dr Pooja Kawte, Consultant Pediatrician Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu and Dr Surbhi Kudiyar, Oncology Specialist, Batra Hospital.
