JAMMU, Aug 30: J&K State Pensioners Association (SPA) urged the Government to raise the pension on Central pattern.
In a statement, Krishan Singh, president of the association said that orders for raising pension of officers retired from IAS, IPS, IFS, etc has been recently issued by the Central Government while as the employees of J&K are still agitating for similar relief.
Singh said that the 3rd installment of 6th CPC arrears, which is due from April 2013 has not been paid to the pensioners, adding that the arrears of 6 per cent DA installment from January 2009 to June 2009 too have not been paid to the pensioners.
He asked the pensioners to remain prepared for struggle so as to get their demands redressed.
