SP Minority Forum for abolition of Land to Tiller Act

JAMMU, Oct 23: A meeting of J&K Unit of Samajwadi Party (SP) Minority Forum was held here, today under the chairmanship of Inder Labroo its State president. The meeting discussed various issues and problems of displaced Pandits.
Addressing the meeting, Labroo demanded abolition of Land to Tiller Act which was a black law and enacted by then NC Government in 1973 under which the Kashmiri Pandits were deprived of their inherited property.
He demanded rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley by carving out satellite township and reservation of three Assembly seats, two Parliament seats one each in Upper and Lower House respectively for the community. He also demanded compensation to educated overaged youth of the community.
