JAMMU, Nov 16: President Pradesh Congress Committee and MP Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz has welcomed the statement of Mirwaiz Umer Farooq to open the dialogue with Delhi.
Addressing a largely attended public meetings at Ganoora & Lalan ( Anantnag) today he said the statement of Mirwaiz is a welcome step. He suggested Hurriyat leadership to work for making the life of people in Kashmir happier, richer and more dignified and this can be only possible through a dialogue process.
He, therefore, suggested to Mirwaiz to be bold enough in people’s interest to open a dialogue with the Prime Minister of India directly. He also said that people like him (Prof. Soz) will be on his right side in promotion of the dialogue process. He made it clear to the people that he (Prof. Soz) makes this suggestion out of his good will for the people of Kashmir and not for any political gain.
He was accompanied by Moinul Haque Secretary AICC, I/C J&K, Gulam Ahmad Mir Minister for Tourism, Gulam Nabi Monga MLC, Bashir Ahmad Magrey MLC (Vice President) Hilal Shah district general secretary, Anantnag, Mohd Abdullah Nadaf.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Soz assured the gathering that he would that the public demands are met to the satisfaction ion of the masses.
Addressing the gathering Moinul Haque made a passionate appeal to the people to support Congress Party which is the only party that can serve them best. In this connection he said both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are very deeply interested in the over all development of the State.
G. A. Mir in his address said that South Kashmir could show the way to the whole of J&K State by promoting the idea that Congress Party should be whole heartedly supported to form its own Government in 2014. He said that he sees a ray of hope that South Kashmir particularly consolidates the growth and progress towards the decisive victory in 2014.
