BARAMULLA, Dec 15: PCC president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz MP along with Minister of Health Shabir Ahmad Khan and MLC Gulam Nabi Monga visited District Hospitals Baramulla and Delina.
Both Prof Soz and Shabir Ahmad Khan took stock of the hospital’s immediate needs and its long term requirements. They also discussed with Medical Superintendent and Doctors to suggest how best District Hospital could be strengthened in respect of faculty and Para Medical Staff.
On this occasion, the representative of various organizations in Baramulla such as Traders Federation Baramulla, Auqafi Islamia, delegation of Old Town (Baramulla) and members of Coordination Committee explained their point of view to strengthen the District Hospital Baramulla by way of improving infrastructure.
Among other things Prof Soz sanctioned Rs 32 lakh out of his MPLAD Funds for provision of Video-endoscope, Colonoscope and ABG Machines. He also made a proposal to the Minister of Health Shabir Ahmad Khan that he must provide a fully equipped Primary Health Centre at Old Town Baramulla where a building has already been constructed by the Auqafi Islamia Baramulla.
On this occasion Shabir Ahmad Khan made a commitment to the people of Baramulla that a Primary Health Centre would be provided there as early as possible.
Earlier to this Prof Soz accompanied by Health Minister visited Primary Health Centre at Delina where the Minister gave instructions to Doctors to be available there during night also.
Prof Soz met various delegations drawn from different parts of District Baramulla at Dak Bunglow and got to know their problems, which he assured to solve.
Those who accompanied Prof Soz included Jasbir Kour, Mahila district president, senior leader Gulam Hassan Rather and all block presidents of district Baramulla.
