JAMMU, July 23: PCC chief and MP Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today urged the Union Minister for Telecommunication to issue directives to the authorities in the Department to install three to four towers in the Marwah and Wadwan areas of Kishtwar district of the State so that the mobile phone system can bring some relief to people there.
Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha today, Prof Soz said Marwah and Warwan happen to be extreme hinterland of Kishtwar district of the State and these areas are not accessible by road and the people in the area face innumerable miseries and hardships.
He said these areas remain cut off from Kishtwar district Headquarter for over five months due to heavy snow fall. He said it is so tragic that the system of administration has failed to ameliorate the lot of the people there.
