SOS Intl observes Black Day

JAMMU, Oct 22: SOS International – an organization for PoK Displaced Persons under the chairmanship of Rajiv Chuni today observed October 22 as Black Day when Muzaffarabad district of J&K was first attacked by Pak tribal and army in 1947.
The function was held at Master Devi Chand Park Rehari, Jammu in which a large number of PoK DPs memorized martyrs of Muzaffarabad by paying them floral tributes. Wreath laying ceremony was held and floral Tributes were paid to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of State and rest of the nation. A 2-minutes silence and `Sarva Dharma Prarthana’ was held during the occurrence.
The PoK DPs by wearing black ribbons on their shoulders lodged protest against the tribal attack on their ancestors. On the same day i.e. October 22, Tribal invaders hired by Pakistan with a conspiracy to change the demography of J&K by executing genocide of thousand of Hindus and Sikhs. Thousands of people were killed, women were raped, young women were abducted and their whereabouts is still not known moreover, it’s not a black day for PoK DPs but it’s the black day for entire Nation as PoK DPs were the first ever community of the state that took first ever bullet on their chest.
Soon, after Muzaffarabad, same attacks were executed in Mirpur and Poonch, and the same genocide was carried out. PoK displaced persons presently living in exile in Jammu participated in the black day function organized by SOS International. All the speakers expressed resentment against Government for its brutal approach of not providing justice to PoK DPs even after the lapse of 7 decades.
SOS International chairman, Rajiv Chuni and served others addressed the gathering and criticized the State and Central Govt for not providing justice to them even after seven decades of their exile. They demanded that ousted 5,300 DP families be brought in the ambit of package.
