JAMMU, July 27: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today inaugurated lane and drain work in Sector 11 of Guru Nanak Nagar.
The lanes and drains in the area were in bad condition since long and the affected people had approached the Councillor with the issue.
Councillor Soodan in turn visited authorities in JMC which approved the repair work of lanes and drains at an estimated cost of Rs. 44 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor said that other developmental works in the Ward shall also be completed soon.
He urged upon the people of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene bags in routine life.
Soodan sought cooperation of the people of his Ward to make the Ward a model one.
He appealed to the Ward residents to use services of door-to-door moving autos for garbage collection and stop throwing the garbage here and there.
Many prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
