Dr Jindal conducts session at NITTTR

JAMMU, July 27: Faculty, School of Civil Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Jindal conducted an expert session on ‘Scope of Research in Geopolymer Concrete’ utilizing Industrial Waste and Recycled Aggregates for Environmental Friendly Construction in the online Faculty Development Program on ‘Innovation and Latest trends in Construction Materials and Techniques.’
The programme is being organized by National Institutes of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh from July 17-28, 2023 in ICT mode.
The Faculty Development Program aimed to provide up-to-date knowledge on developments in the field of construction materials to teachers from Polytechnics, Engineering Colleges, industry personnel and Ph.D scholars from all over India.
During the session, Dr. Jindal focused on the impact of population growth leading to increased demand for infrastructure development and its effect on cement manufacturing, which contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions.
He highlighted the alarming issues of global warming caused by the release of greenhouse gases during cement production.
