NEW DELHI: As Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with longtime beau, businessman Anand Ahuja, on Tuesday, Bollywood fraternity gathered to celebrate their wedding.
But few stars could not make it to the wedding and the reception party because of their prior work commitments. From Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Riteish Deshmukh to veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, the celebs who missed the grand celebrations, extended their warm wishes for the newly-weds on Twitter.
On Tuesday, Anushka congratulated Sonam and Anand and wrote an adorable message for the just-married couple saying ‘Welcome to the club’. ”Happiness, love & a life time of joy to you both @sonamakapoor & @anandahuja & Welcome to the club! It’s such a beautiful journey of life, love & growth,”
Anushka posted. Actor and philanthropist, Priyanka Chopra wished the couple a happy life. ”Congratulations @sonamakapoor and @anandahuja on your big day!! I’m so bummed I couldn’t be there for the elegance that was your wedding.

While ‘King of Bollywood’, Shah Rukh Khan attended the reception ceremony along with his wife Gauri Khan and danced with Anil Kapoor. ”I kind of know, how it feels when a piece of your heart gets married. Danced and celebrated love for daughters with my inspiration Anil Kapoor,” Shah Rukh posted on Twitter. Sonam will walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and 15.
