Son kills father at Ramgarh

SAMBA, Aug 19: A 52 year old man was killed by his son who attacked him with sharp edged weapon at village Rara area of Sector Ramgarh in district Samba late last night.
According to the police, the incident took place during the intervening night, when two real brothers namely Shangara Singh and Ronak Singh, sons of Swarn Singh resident of village Rara, Sector Ramgarh in Samba district quarreled with each other and as their father Swarn Singh heard the noise, he immediately rushed to their room and tried to free and pacify them as they were engaged in thrashing each other with fits and blows. As father intervened his one son, Shangara Singh left the house but the Ronak Singh started misbehaving with his father.
However, his father also tried to leave the room and when he was about to leave, Ronak Singh attacked him with iron rod as a result he received critical head injury and fell down in a pool of blood. The people of the village immediately informed the Ramgarh police. But the Ronak Singh fled from the spot and is still at large.
After getting the information, SHO Ramgarh along with his team immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Community Health Centre, Ramgarh for treatment, where doctor gave him the first aid and then referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment. However after reaching GMCH, Jammu the doctors declared him as brought dead and the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room for autopsy.
After completing the legal formalities the body of the deceased was handover to its legal heirs for his last rites.
SHO Ramgarh, I.P Singh said the son of the deceased who killed his father is working in Defence Force and police has launched a manhunt to arrest him and soon he will be behind bars.
In this connection a case FIR No 90/2020 U/S 307/341 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act stand registered at Police Station Ramgarh.
