JAMMU: The snowfall hit Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Wednesday closed for the traffic while the vehicles were halted at Udhampur and Nagrota areas.
“Due to fresh snowfall at Banihal and Jawahar Tunnel, the traffic has been suspended,” an official here said.
He said that no vehicle is allowed to move on the highway due to snow and slippery conditions. Meanwhile trucks, private vehicles are stranded at Udhampur, Nagrota and Sidhra areas.
However, some of the Kashmir bound passengers are also stranded here at the General Bus Stand due to blocked road. (AGENCIES)
