SRINAGAR: Bodies of two soldiers, who went missing after a snow avalanche hit a forward Army posts in Gurez sector, were recovered on Monday, while search for another continued for the seven days.
Body of a soldier, who went missing along with another jawan after slipping from a mountain following heavy snowfall at Nowgam sector in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara on December 11, was recovered on Sunday.
Meanwhile, search and rescue operation continued to trace one each in Nowgam sector and Gurez sector. Army sources said that bodies of two soldiers, who went missing after a snow avalanche hit Army’s Mani Post at Bagtoo in Gurez sector on December 12, were recovered today. “The soldiers have been identified as Shiv Singh and Parmang,” they said.
