JAMMU, Dec 21: Bagh-e-Bahu Police has claimed to have solved a snatching case by arresting thee snatchers from different locations.
Acting on the complaint lodged at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu by one person namely Sahil Sharma son of late Vijay Kumar of Panjgrai (Nagrota), regarding snatching of his belongings, a case FIR Number 122/2022 under Sections 341/382/427 IPC & 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
During investigation, a dedicated team of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu with the help of CCTV footages rounded up three suspects namely Talib Hussain son of late Faquir Mohd of Upper Ragoora (Jammu), Zahoor Ali son of Noor Hussain of Upper Ragoora and Liaquat Ali son of Shukr Din of Shahbad Colony (Bagh-e-Bahu) from different locations.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the snatching case. Accordingly, they were arrested and a Maruti-800 car (bearing registration number JK02 AE-1910) used for commission of the crime was also seized.
Further investigations to unearth his linkages with other theft/snatching cases of NHW 44 area was going on and more arrests and recoveries are expected soon.
