JAMMU, Apr 24: Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) today accused Shri Mata Viashno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) for furnishing wrong and incomplete information to a RTI query seeking information about the objective behind Shrine Board’s proposal to launch specialty consultation and initial screening services of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH) at Saraswati Dham near Railway Station.
Addressing a press conference here, today Shiv Sena Hindustan national vice president, Pt Rajesh Kesri said that Board provided misguiding and confusing information for taking such a decision which ultimately defeated both the purposes i.e Saraswati Dham near Railway Station which was constructed to accommodate economically weaker pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi with cheap food and accommodation and also to run screening services of (SMVDNSH) in a congested place.
Kesri further said that though opening of OPD is welcome step but starting it at 428 bedded accommodation Saraswati Dham is not a good idea as it was constructed in 2003 costing Rs 3 crore for the benefit of the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims by providing clean, well maintained and very economical accommodation.
He advised the Board instead of using Saraswati Dham, there is piece of land measuring three Kanals nearby and the proposed OPD can be opened there in this way the Saraswati Dham will continue to serve economically weaker Section of Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims who get cheap food and accommodation here.
