Smriti escapes unhurt after accident on Yamuna Expressway

MATHURA :   Union  Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani escaped unhurt after a vehicle in her convoy ‘crashed’ on the Yamuna Expressway. Ms Irani , who was returning to New Delhi late last night after  attending the BJYM conference at Vrindavan, escaped unhurt when her car crashed into a police vehicle in the front which was a part of her convoy. Police said a motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction was killed in the accident. The pilot car of Ms Irani’s cavalcade, along with other vehicles, collided with each other, the police added. In a series of tweets following the accident, Ms Irani informed of her well-being and thanked people for their concern.
Ms Irani said that she also ensured that the people injured in the accident were taken to a hospital and thanked others for helping out. (AGENCIES)
