JAMMU, Apr 23: A meeting of the Sri Mangleshwar Asthapan Prabandak Committee (SMAPC) Sirnoo, Monghama was held here today to discuss the protection of Hindu religious places and their upkeep in the South Kashmir district of Pulwama.
The meeting was also attended the MLA Rajpora, Pulwama Syed Bashir Ahmed. Identifying himself with the sentiments and inputs put forth by the Asthapan Committee, Syed Bashir listed certain priorities which can eventually prove beneficial for the protection of Asthapans.
Besides, appealing the MLA to take measures in removing the illegal encroachments as reported on the land of cremation ground, SMAPC urged him to take steps for renovation of dharamshala, repair of Mongnaag, construction of additional two rooms within Asthapan and boundary wall for its proper maintenance which was responded fully by the MLA.
The meeting also took the stock of the preparations of the birth anniversary of Sri Monglishwar Bairav Ji falling on April 30 which will be celebrated at Geeta Bhawan Muthi.
The meeting resolved to work for an awareness campaign on this day for generating sensitivity among the community members on the issue of diversification of educational pursuits by the community children for the smooth progress and prosperity of the its race.
