SRINAGAR, June 2: One person went missing, while two tourists were rescued after a portion of Thajwas glacier caved in in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district today.
An official said that the incident happened when tourists were riding a sledge at Thajwas glacier this afternoon.

He said two tourists identified as Aasaqt Agarwal and Sakhsi Agarwal were having a sledge ride when a portion of the glacier caved in. The duo along with the sledge operator fell down.
Both the tourists were rescued while the local is still missing. Search operation to locate him is underway.
