JAMMU, July 5: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia today addressed a series of public meetings in border villages Kamala, Kullian and Najwal in Vijaypur constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Slathia said that Omar led Coalition Government is committed to provide better basic amenities in remote and far flung areas with focus on road connectivity, power and water supply, medicare and education.
During the last four years, the Coalition Government has launched a number of innovative development and welfare programmes in every nook and corner of the State which are yielding visible results, he added. He said that the credit of successful functioning of present dispensation goes to the people who always supported the efforts of the Government.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated community paths constructed by Rural Development Department under MGNREGA, Anganwari Centre building constructed under ICDS model village scheme Vijaypur with a cost of Rs.17 lakh.
Slathia directed the concerned officers to take up construction of lane and drain from main road to the temple in village Kullian besides accelerating pace of progress on other development works being done in these villages. He also appealed the people to extend their cooperation to the executing agencies for smooth and successful implementation of development works in their respective areas.
The Minister also assured the people that all their demands and problems shall be looked into for necessary consideration.
