JAMMU, Nov 19: The 7th meeting of Executive Committee of SKUAST – Jammu Teaching Association was held today under the chairmanship of its president Dr Vikas Sharma at Main Campus Chatha, for discussing issues pertaining to the teaching fraternity.
Dr Vikas Sharma pointed out that due to recent transfers in the varsity, the positions of executives from Bhaderwah and Poonch have become vacant and there should be fresh nominations from these outstations of SKUAST-Jammu which is agreed by all the members of committee. We are trying our level best to solve the problems being faced by teaching fraternity of SKUAST-Jammu, he added and assured the Scientists that their professional interests will not be ignored in future and the Association will work only for the welfare of teachers and overall development of varsity.
Release of honorarium for the conduct of counting duty in respect of elections of 6 Jammu Parliamentary constituency, creation of web page of SKUAST-TAJ, faculty club and housing colony for the SKUAST teachers were the other major issues discussed in this Executive Committee meet.
The meeting was attended by Dr P K Rai, Dr Devinder Sharma, Dr Poonam Parihaar, Dr Jai Kumar and other members of the Association.
