SKUAST-TAJ extends humanitarian aid

JAMMU, Feb 9: SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) has shown its human facet by extending a helping hand to the families of non teaching employees of the varsity who were going through their tough times.
On the initiative of Association President Dr Vikas Sharma, teachers of SKUAST-Jammu collected cash amount of Rs 1,60,000, which was distributed among family members of three non teaching employees. An amount of Rs 75,000 was handed over to Dr Komal Kumar Bhat (Computer Programmer, Data Centre) whose son was undergoing expensive life saving medical treatment. Further, Rs 35,000 and Rs 50,000 were given to descendants of late Bansi Lal (OCC, Division of Soil Science) and late Darshan Singh (Security Guard at Main Campus Chatha) respectively who lost their life and were the sole bread earners of their families.
