JAMMU, July 15: An executive body meeting of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) was held here today at Chatha Campus, under the chairmanship of its President, Dr Vikas for discussing several agendas pertaining to the welfare of teaching association.
Dr Vikas announced in the meeting that up to date statutes/acts of SKUAST-Jammu and discipline wise seniority list of scientific staff has already been uploaded on the university website and very soon inter seniority list among all the Professors / Chief Scientists of SKUAST-Jammu will also be displayed on the website.
Dr R K Samnotra, Advisor of the Association, stressed to address the promotion of Asstt Professors / Jr Scientists (in service PhD candidates) to Associate Professor / Sr Scientists in 12 years as it is an anomaly, which needs to be addressed on priority.
The house demanded speedy disposal of all the pending CAS cases of teachers / scientists of SKUAST-Jammu, order for Institution of Dr Arun Gupta Memorial Gold Medal, MoU with Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), Srinagar, upgradation of health facilities in University Health Centre, etc.
President SKUAST-TAJ, Dr Vikas informed the house that the said agendas have already been discussed with the Vice-Chancellor few days back and he assured to solve the same as soon as possible.
Besides, Dr Vivak M Arya- General Secretary, Dr Pradeep Kumar Rai-Joint Secretary and Dr Rajeev Bharat-Treasurer, the meeting was attended by Dr Jai Kumar, Dr Anil Bhat, Dr Amitesh Sharma, Dr Biswajeet Brahma, Dr Sanjay Kaushal, Dr Rohit Sharma, Dr Muneeshwar Sharma and other executives of the association.
