JAMMU, Aug 27: During the executive meeting of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ), which was held here today under the chairmanship of its President, Dr Vikas, agendas pertaining to the faculty were discussed.
Dr Vikas announced in the meeting that inter se seniority list among all the Professors / Chief Scientists of SKUAST-Jammu has been uploaded on the university website. He further informed that majority of CAS cases of teachers / scientists who are due for GP 7000 & 8000 have already been cleared by the varsity and very soon pending CAS cases will be disposed off.
Dr Sushil Sharma, Advisor of the Association, stressed that in order to avoid any discrepancies in allotment of Major Advisor to PG students, a committee may be constituted to verify the recommendations of concerned HODs. The house also expressed unanimously for the speedy implementation of order No.71 (Secy.) of 2018 dated 11.07.2018 regarding sanction of 6000 AGP to Subject Matter Specialists of KVKs of SKUAST-Jammu as the agenda has already been approved by 28th Board of Management and 17th University Council Meet. Sanction order for Institution of Dr Arun Gupta Memorial Gold Medal, MoU with Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), Srinagar, upgradation of health facilities in University health centre were the other major issues discussed in this executive committee meet of SKUAST-TAJ.
Besides, Dr Vivak M Arya- General Secretary; Dr Pradeep Kumar Rai-Joint Secretary, Dr Devinder Sharma-Publicity Secretary, Dr Rajeev Bharat-Treasurer, the meeting was attended by Dr Poonam Parihaar, Dr Jai Kumar, Dr Anil Bhat, Dr Amitesh Sharma, Dr Vinod Gupta, Dr Biswajeet Brahma, Dr Muneeshwar Sharma and other executives of the Association.
