JAMMU, Feb 12: To train and update the knowledge of agriculture officers of Doda district, a one day training programme on recent techniques for the year round cultivation of mushroom was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Doda, SKUAST-Jammu.
The programme was conducted under the direction of Dr K S Rissam, Director Extension Education and supervision of Dr R S Bandral, PC, KVK, Doda. The event was coordinated by Dr Vikas Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vikas Gupta thoroughly discussed all the techniques and methods related to year round cultivation of mushroom with the agriculture officers. He presented a detailed power point presentation on year round mushroom cultivation before the officers. He also discussed various value added products of mushroom.
During the technical session, a healthy group discussion was also held which was coordinated by Dr R S Bandral and Dr Vikas Gupta. During the valedictory, some literature on mushroom cultivation was also distributed among the officers.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Dr Munish Sharma.
