SKUAST-K holds entrance test for UG prog

Srinagar, June 4: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir successfully conducted the University Entrance Test (UET) – 2023 today at 17 designated centers across the Union Territory (UT), with 14 centers located in Kashmir.
The purpose of the test was to select candidates for admission to various undergraduate degree programs in disciplines such as Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering, Sericulture, Fisheries, Forestry, and Food Technology.
According to the university, approximately 10,800 candidates had applied for the mentioned programs, out of which 9,900 candidates, accounting for 92% of the total applicants, appeared for the UET.
To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the entrance test, the university formed different teams of observers under the overall supervision of the Chief Observers.
These teams were responsible for overseeing the arrangements and proceedings at the designated centers, which were located in various government educational institutions in Srinagar and Jammu.
To further ensure the integrity of the examination, an external observer from Kashmir University was appointed to oversee the proceedings at Center No. 14, situated in Shalimar Campus.
Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, the Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-Kashmir, visited the examination centers in Srinagar along with a team of university officers, including Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi (Director Extension) and Prof. K.N. Qaiser (Controller of Examinations).
During their visit, they interacted with the principals, invigilation staff, and candidates, who expressed a high level of satisfaction with the arrangements made by the university for the smooth and fair conduct of the entrance test.
