JAMMU, Oct 16: Dr Kafil Hussain, Associate Professor in the Division of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, SKUAST- J, R S Pura, Jammu has received the International Award of recognition – Murray Fowler International Conference Scholarship (MFICS), instituted by the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians (AAZV), Florida.
The award was presented at an international science conference “The 2018 Joint AAZV/EAZWV/Leibniz-IZW Conference (Zoo and Wildlife Health Conference)” at Prague. The conference was attended by 600 participants from 51 countries.
More than 20 people all over the world have applied for the award. The selection committee evaluates applicants on many things, including their current job position, ability to contribute to the betterment of zoo and wildlife medicine in their home country, past experience, etc. Dr Kafil Hussain scored high enough to be awarded the MFICS award.
