Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Mar 12: Sixth general body meeting of SKUAST Jammu Non-Teaching Employees Association was held today at the Chatha Main Campus. During the meeting, various issues of the non-teaching employees were discussed and highlighted seeking redressal of the same by the University authorities. Main demands, highlighted in the meeting, included ; promotion of Class IV employees to ACT &equivalent positions, deployment of Class IV employees as per the classified nature of work, restoration of seniority/adjustment of employees working against the higher position, implementation of two tier CAS in favour of Non-teaching employees, release of two and half day additional salary in favour of paramedical staff working in health centre on rotational basis, appointment of Kamla Sharma, wife of late Bansi Lal under SRO-43, implementation of Grade pay of 4600 with effect from 1-1-2006. The Association also urged the Government to enhance the retirement age of SKUAST non-teaching staff from 60 to 62 years at par with the teachers.
