UDHAMPUR, Feb 10: Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) conducted three days course on “Human Rights” for GOs under the guidance of Director Rajesh Kumar.
The main objective behind this course was to make all the participants well aware about the introduction to Human Rights, Human Rights in institution in India, Rights of Child, Rights of other vulnerable groups, Rights of Women, Custodial violence, Police Action, Media and Police, Miscellaneous and other issues etc.
Besides this officers were taught Human Rights Act, Juvenile Justice Act, role of NGOs and apex courts guidelines.
Speaking on the valediction ceremony, Director Rajesh Kumar stressed upon participants to develop empathy for the juveniles and laid emphasis for setting up friendly police force.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director (Admn) and Randheer Singh, Assistant Director (Outdoor) were also present on the valediction ceremony.
