SKIMS establish dedicated registration counter for senior citizens, pensioners

Srinagar, Sept 18: To provide hassle-free services to elderly people, SKIMS, Soura today established a separate registration counter for senior citizens and central Govt pensioners
The counter was inaugurated by Director SKIMS Dr A.G Ahangar in presence of President Central Govt. Pensioners Welfare Association Kashmir (CGPWA), Mohammed Shafi Pandit and Vice President, Dr Rafeeq Massoodi and other representatives of the association.
The dedicated counter will provide the services on priority to the senior citizens of the J & K Union Territory.
Director NIIT, R.K Sehgal was also present on the occasion. After the inaugural ceremony Director SKIMS had a detailed interaction with the representatives of Central Govt. Pensioners Welfare Association Kashmir (CGPWA) which was attended by President CGPWA Kashmir, Mohammed Shafi Pandit and Vice President, Dr Rafeeq Massoodi and General Secretary, G.N Kant, Secretary, G.M Wani
Director SKIMS said the facility thrown open today for senior citizens will benefit them and will provide hassle-free services.
He directed Hospital Administration to extend cashless benefits and other services to the senior citizens under Ayushman Bharat Sehet Scheme as well as Central Govt. sponsored schemes.
Dean Medical Faculty SKIMS, Dr O.J Shah appreciated the administration for the initiative and said the senior citizens need this kind of facility and SKIMS has taken the step in the right direction.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Dr Farooq A. Jan, Chief of Hospital Administration, Dr G.H Yattoo, Superintending Engineer (E&C/IT) SKIMS, Er. Farooq Ahmed Wani also spoke on the occasion and said SKIMS will soon have a single-window system that will provide hassle-free services to all the patients at SKIMS.
