Skill-based education enhances employability of students: Nanda

REASI, July 19:  Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today stressed on skill based education and training for students and said that proficiency in any professional stream nurtures students career and open up divergent job opportunities for them.
The Minister was addressing students after inaugurating the first nursing   classes of this academic session at ANMT school here today.

The ANMT building was completed last  year and as per the commitment of Minister, the district administration took keen efforts to start the class after making provision of various basic facilities.
District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar, ACD M.Y. Malik, CMO Dr. L.D. Bhagat, Medical Superintendent Dr. Samyal, senior doctors and staff members were present on the occasion.
The Minister, making the reference of polytechnic college and ANMT school, said that such institutions would certainly encourage the students of backward regions to take up professional courses.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked the school management for early functioning of hostel to facilitate the  students of far flung areas of Pouni, Bomag, Mahore, Katra etc. He assured support to provide adequate facilities to the ANMT school.
The Minister was informed that first batch of 40 students has been divided into three streams in which 20 students are undergoing training for FMPW, 10 for Laboratory Technician and 10 in Pharmacy.
The Minister also stressed upon the trainers and teachers to equip the students with best of knowledge so that they get expertise in their skill and get  immediate placement as soon as they move out of the school.
Later, the Minister interacted with the students and took stock of facilities.
