JAMMU, Oct 14: Swachh Jammu Mission Sangarsh Committee (SJMSC) today held a protest against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for throwing out 467 youth from their jobs.
The protesting youth said that under JMC’s Swachh Jammu Mission, 467 candidates completed their 25-day door to door training during hot days of June month and were provided with ID cards duly stamped and signed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) of JMC.
“We were shortlisted by the JMC out of the thousands of candidates, for door to door survey and data entry and when after completing the survey the final reports have been submitted to the JMC, the Corporation is denying us jobs, which will leave our future in the dark,” they said and accused the JMC for spoiling their future.
The protesting youth appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter to secure their jobs and save their future, as they are on roads for last 53 days.
