Six peddlers held with heroin

JAMMU, Feb 28: Jammu Police today arrested six drug peddlers from different parts of Jammu and recovered around 213 grams of heroin from their possession.
While 200 grams of heroin was recovered from the two accused in the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib, 8 grams from an accused in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah and 5 grams of heroin from three accused in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak. In this regard, three separate cases under NDPS Act were registered in Police Station PS Miran Sahib, Police Station Bishnah and Police Station Kanachak.
The drug peddlers arrested by Miran Sahib Police were identified as Sharad Khajuria son of Harish Khajuria of Roop Nagar (Jammu) and Kanav Gupta son of Dharamveer Gupta of New Plot (Jammu) and the accused arrested by Bishnah Police was identified as Farooq Ali son of Salam Din, resident of Swanka Morh (at present Laswara, Bishnah) while those arrested by Kanachak Police were Sushil Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Thathi, Gulshan Kumar son of late Ashok Kumar of Kote and Avinash Kumar son of Vakil Chand of Kote.
Further investigation of the cases was going on.
