Six injured in separate road accidents

UDHAMPUR, Aug 30: An eight year old girl among six persons were injured in separate road accidents across Udhampur district during the last 24 hours.
An eight-year old girl, identified as Vanishka Sharma, daughter of Sanjeev Kumar of Battal Ballian Udhampur, was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the National Highway near DPS School, here. Some passersby shifted the injured girl to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
According to the police reports, a passenger namely Mukesh Singh son of Nand Singh of MP, fell from a moving Tempo, which was on its way from Jammu to Kashmir, here today. He was hanging up with the Tempo door and accidentally fell down on the road near Samroli National Highway.
In another road accident, a pedestrian was hit by an unidentified vehicle near SBI Udhampur. People took the injured to District hospital Udhampur. He has been identified as Birju Gupta (59) son of Babu Ram of Battal Balian Udhampur.
Another pedestrian, identified as Kawla Singh son of Rumal Singh, was hit by a vehicle near Krimchi.
A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were injured when a Scorpio car hit their bike near Omara Morh Udhampur. The injured were identified as Fizad Ahmad (31) son of Abdul Rashid and Shokat (33) son of Khursid of Bai pass Udhampur.
