JAMMU, Aug 13: Six persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts while a woman was injured in a stove blast in Janipur area.
According to a police spokesperson, a 36-year old man identified as Atul Gupta son of RD Gupta, a resident of Bakshi Nagar, was injured this morning when the scooty he was riding on, was hit by a mini-bus at Talab Tillo near ‘Sharab’ factory.
A pedestrian suffered injuries at Bantalab Toll Plaza in Nagrota area when a bus hit him this morning. The injured pedestrian has been identified as Vipan Kumar (30) son of Pyara Singh, a resident of Vivek Vihar, Paloura, Jammu.
Another pedestrian identified as Arushi Pradhan (16) daughter of Ajay Pradhan, a resident of Kamla Nagar, Barnai, was injured this afternoon after hit by a Tata Mobile near Kangra Fort in Barnai area of city outskirts.
In Kot Bhalwal area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Gharota, a 15-year-old boy was injured this evening when the bike on which he was going on, was hit by a mini-bus.
A 50-year-old woman was injured in the collision of a scooty and a car at Rehari. The injured has been identified as Veena (50) wife of Baldev, a resident of Paloura.
A man identified as Prince (50) son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Shahidi Chowk, was also injured in the collision of a scooty and a bike near Digiana Puli.
Meanwhile, a migrant woman identified as Hema Sahu (32) wife of Pappu Sahu, a resident of Chattisgarh, received about 50% burn injuries in a stove blast at her temporary residence in Patoli area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Janipur.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
