Six injured as Katra bound bus turns turtle

JAMMU, Sept 9: Six persons were injured when a Katra bound bus this evening turned turtle on Jammu-Katra National Highway in Manda area falling in the limits of police station Nagrota.
According to a police spokesperson, the ill fated bus bearing registration No JK02AR-1313 was on its way here from Bus Stand to Katra in Reasi district when it turned turtle near Peer Baba in Manda area due to the alleged negligence of driver.
In the mishap, driver of the vehicle identified as Om Parkash (40) son of Sansar Chand of Udhampur received serious injuries while five passengers got minor injuries. All the injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable.
The injured passengers have been identified as Raj Chouhan (28), Arjun Limbo (20) of Assam, Maharaj Krishan Bhatt (46) of Nagrota, Shanker Singh (55) of Doda and his wife Sheel Banti (53).
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
