JAMMU, Dec 29: Nowabad police arrested six gamblers along with Rs 3,010 stake money and playing cards from a hotel here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nowabad police station conducted raid in a hotel and arrested six gamblers along with Rs 3,010 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Vicky Kumar, son of Govind Ram of Talab Tillo, Ritesh Kumar, son of Subash Gupta of Canal Road, Sanjeev Kumar, son of Mir Chand of Bakshi Nagar, Gopal Dass, son of Dharam Chand of Pathankote, Kuldeep Sharma, son of Deewan Chand of Chowki Choura and Sonu Sharma, son of Kaka Ram of Shiv Nagar.
A case under relevant Section has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad police station Inspector Ravinder Rakwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
