Six bovines rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, Feb 7: Manwal police rescued six bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, Manwal police intercepted two persons carrying flock of bovines at Kishanpur.
During questioning, it came to fore that they were smuggling the bovines to Valley.
Police arrested both the persons, who have been identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Hakim Din and Hassan Din, son of Hasim Din, both residents of Darsoo, district Udhampur.
A case in this regard has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Manwal police post SI Tribhuwan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli SHO Ravinder Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
