JAMMU, Feb 7: Sehwag Academy registered an outright win over Stadium XI in the 2-day match of the ongoing Kuldip Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament, being jointly organised by Country Cricket Academy and Project Model School, under the supervision of Vikrant Sharma, Principal Project Model School and Vivek Sharma, Director Country Cricket Academy at Gharota, near here.
Ranjeet Kalra, Member BCCI was chief guest who was accompanied by a galaxy of former and current Ranji Trophy players on the occasion.
Trailing by 40 runs, Stadium XI scored 198 runs in their second innings to set a target of 149 runs fort he rivals. Ayush Slathia was the top scorer with 49 runs, while Kanhaiya Wadhawan and Rhythm contributed 39 and 27 runs to the total respectively. For Sehwag Academy, Vivrant was the pick of the bowlers, who took 6 wickets, while Harsh claimed one.
In reply, Sehwag Academy chased the target in 47 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Vivrant was the top scorer with 62 runs. Arush took 4 wickets for Stadium XI, while Dhruv claimed 2 wickets. Coaches of Sehwag Academy, Guru Partap Singh and Jagtar Singh were present on the occasion.
