JAMMU, Mar 27: The State Investigation Unit (SIU) of Jammu under the supervision of DIG SIU Jammu Zone has initiated a special drive to apprehend 13 terrorists by obtaining Non-Bailable Warrants (NBA) against them.
In a press statement, the SIU identified the “A” category terrorists involved in various anti-national activities as Shahwnaz Kanth alias Munna alias Umer of Hullar, Kishtwar; Nayeem Ahmed alias Amr/Gazi of Kishtwar, Mohammad Iqbal alias Bilal of Kishtwar, Shahnawaz alias Nayeem of Chirool, Padyarna; Javid Hussain Giri alias Muzamil of Kondali Pochal, Bashir Ahmed Mughal of Jugna Keshwan, Gazi-ul-Din of Jugna Keshwan, Sattar Din alias Rajab alias Saifullah od Jugna Keshwan, Imtiaz Ahmed alias Dawood of Banderna Kishtwar, Shabir Ahmed of Kither Bonjwah, Mohammad Rafiq Keen of Patnazi Bonjwan, Muzaffer Ahmed of Semna Colony Zewar Kishtwar, and Azad Hussain of Affani Paddar.
“To arrest them”, the press statement said, “CIO of the case, DySP PC Kishtwar, Vishal Sharma, has started the process of Letter Rogatory (LR).”
Meanwhile, in another case, CIO, DySP PC Kathua, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, has produced challan against two militants, Zakir Hussain Bhat alias Umar Farooq and Gulam Farid alias Farid Bhai. They were involved in unlawful activities to promote terrorist activities in J&K.
Pertinently, many militants who have fled to Pakistan are involved in reviving militancy in J&K by recruiting youth and supplying arms through drones.
DIG SIU Jammu has instructed all his CIOs to investigate every case thoroughly and professionally so that all militants involved can be arrested.
“Those who have fled to Pakistan will be apprehended by issuing Red Notices through Interpol or by issuing LRs through the court of law. In the next couple of weeks, more challans against terrorists involved in UAPA cases of SIU Jammu Zone are expected to be produced before the Court of law,” read a statement issued by SIU Jammu.
