NOWSHERA, June 2: In a hard hitting rejoinder to BJP leadership which off and on accused National Conference failure to contain terrorism, Javed Rana president Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Pirpanjal Zone said that the position in Kashmir under Modi Government is even worse than 1990s with free for all situation offered to terrorists, who are playing with the lives of common masses as never before.
The senior NC leader was addressing a public meeting at Qila Darhal in Nowshera additional district. Strongly condemning the BJP Government at the Centre and the J&K Administration for not providing security to people in J&K, Rana said that it is the complete failure of those who were boasting of containing the terrorism sometime back. He said that the terrorists have unleashed the reign of terror and the Government is doing nothing to stop the unabated killing spree in the Valley which is matter of concern.
“The way the terrorists are targeting people in Valley it seems that BJP Government has surrendered before the terror mongers and has conceded submission”, he said, adding that the need of time is to reinforce rule of law and stop the civilian killings at once or it will be too late to bring things under control. He also said that the situation in Kashmir has proved that the rant by the BJP leadership over Article 370 and snatching of statehood was a hoax and it is necessary that the pre-August 5, 2019 situation be revived to ensure peace.
As the people raised issued of acute water scarcity in the region, Javed Rana said that again the Government has failed to provide even the basic amenities to the people. He asked people to maintain unity and strengthen NC at ground level saying that only this party can mitigate the problems of the people and provide safer environment.
Shafayat Khan, District president Rajouri Urban and Yashu Vardhan Singh, additional spokesperson NC aso spoke on the occasion and alleged that BJP has no roadmap for youth in J&K as the unemployment is at peak.
