JAMMU, Mar 5: Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma informed the House that the concerned authorities of the Revenue Department have identified three alternate sites for construction of college at Sunderbani and negotiations are going on with the land owners while 35% slab work has been completed in Government Degree College, Nowshera.
The Minister was replying to a question of Ravinder Kumar Sharma from Congress Party.
The Minister further informed the House that Government Degree College Nowshera is functioning from Government Higher Secondary School, Nowshera having sufficient furniture, books, other equipment, adding Government Degree College, Sunderbani has also been made functional from make shift accommodation and three posts of Assistant Professors and 16 faculty members have been working on academic arrangements. He assured that Science subjects would be introduced after infrastructure is put in place therein.
