SIT arrests two murder accused

JAMMU, Mar 24: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) to work out the murder case of a man in RS Pura area few days back today achieved success by arresting two of the main accused.
A police spokesman said that, on March 21, Suresh Kumar alias Kuka, son of Kapoor Chand, a resident of Langreyal, RS Pura was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of miscreants over some land dispute.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
After conducting postmortem, the body was handed over to family members for last rites and a case under relevant Sections was registered at RS Pura police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused behind the murder.
To arrest the accused, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted, which conducted series of raids at various places and finally arrested two main accused namely Pintu Kumar, a resident of ward number 12, Purana Pind, RS Pura and Kala, a resident of Langreyal, RS Pura who were found involved in the murder.
Further investigation into the case is going on and manhunt is on to nab the remaining accused persons involved in the murder.
