KISHTWAR, Feb 28: Marking a significant development, the Sinthan Road has for the first time been opened in the February month by the joint efforts of NHIDCL, District Administration Kishtwar and UT Govt of Jammu & Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav; SSP Khalil Poswal, along with SDM Chhatroo, Inderjeet Parihar and other officers visited Sinthan Top today to take first hand appraisal of the condition of the Road.
The Administration will soon issue guidelines and SOPs for motorists and commercial vehicles, the DC Kishtwar informed the media persons.
Sinthan Road is an alternate route connecting Jammu Division with Kashmir valley via Kishtwar-Doda NH-244.
The road is also an alternative to the ever busy NH-44 connecting Kashmir Valley to the rest of the country, Besides the route holds great importance from a tourism point of view.
The move will give a flip to tourism in the Sinthan area in coming days besides administration plans to launch various tourism carnivals/initiatives on this route.
