NEW DELHI, Oct 6: Silver prices were down by Rs 95 to Rs 37,372 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions to profit-booking amid a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in far-month March next year traded lower by Rs 95, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 37,372 per kg in business turnover of four lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in December contracts was trading lower by Rs 84, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 36,657 per kg in business volume of 518 lots.
In the international market, silver lost 0.2 per cent to USD 15.63 an ounce in Singapore after surging to USD 15.73 in yesterday’s trade, the highest price since July 13.
Market analysts said a weak trend in global markets profit-booking by speculators, mainly weighed on silver futures here. (PTI)
