NEW DELHI, Aug 4: Amid a weak trend in global market, silver prices fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 33,395 per kg in futures trade today as speculators lightened bets.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 104, or 0.31 per cent, at Rs 33,395 per kg in a business turnover of 634 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month December was trading Rs 100, or 0.29 per cent lower at Rs 34,130 per kg in a business volume of 26 lots.
In the international market, silver traded 0.1 per cent lower at USD 14.48 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said reports of a weak trend in the metal in overseas markets led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
