Silver falls Rs 139 hurt by global cues

NEW DELHI, Sept 22:  Taking weak cues from overseas markets, silver prices fell by Rs 139 to Rs 36,033 per kg in futures trade today.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December was trading lower by Rs 139, or 0.38 per cent, at Rs 36,033 per kg in a business turnover of 581 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month March next year declined by Rs 126, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 36,780 per kg in a business volume of 2 lots.
In the international market, silver fell 0.03 per cent to USD 15.21 an ounce in Singapore today.
Traders said the fall in silver prices was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals at global markets. (PTI)
