Srinagar, Mar 4: Sikhs in the State are disappointed over the exclusion of their demands in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) by PDP-BJP Government
All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina, said that the community had high hopes from the new Government.
Raina said that exclusion of the demands in the CMP has disappointed members of the Sikh community in the state.
“The exclusion of demands like granting the minority status to Sikhs in state has not gone well with the community members. The Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should take the lead and ensure that long pending demands are fulfilled,” Raina said.
He said that PDP to brass should sit and take measures ensuring that privileges and benefits due to the Sikh community in the State.
