Sikh member as LG’s Advisor demanded

JAMMU, Aug 14: Several Sikh bodies under the banner of BKNSS have demanded inclusion of a Sikh representative as Advisor in the J&K UT Administration.
In a meeting of these bodies held under the leadership of Mohinder Singh, president BKNSS (Bhai Kanheya Nishkam Sewa Society) the members alleged that Sikh community in the UT is being ignored. Therefore, a Sikh representative/advisor must be appointed to represent the community.
It was also demanded that the quota for recruitment be fixed to provide the jobs to educated unemployed who belong to Sikh minority community. The representation should also be given to a Sikh member in the Public Service Commission, they demanded.
They further demanded that the quota for refugee unemployed youth be fixed in recruitment at par with other reservations for SC/ST categories. The PoK refugee colonies be regularized at the earliest.
