JAMMU, Jan 4: A delegation of Sikh residents of Sainik Colony called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu as well Additional Commissioner Jammu and demanded holding of elections of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sainik Colony under election authority.
The Divisional Commissioner and Additional Commissioner assured the delegation to redress their grievance and sought two week’s time.
They also issued instructions to SGPC Committee to convene the election of Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee under Secret Ballot to avoid bogus voting by non residents and rent holders.
The delegation comprised of Advocate Ajit Singh, advocate Hardev Singh, Flying Officer (retd) Bhagwan Singh, Capt (retd) Peshawar Singh, Dr Jaswant Singh and others.
