Sikh body asks world community to stop Gaza carnage

Srinagar, July 22: Expressing concern over the bombing of civilians in the Gaza strip by Israeli forces, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has asked the world community to step in and stop further killing of innocents in the area.
APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina in a statement said that peace should be restored in the area at the earliest.
Raina expressed concern over the silence maintained by the different countries and demanded that these countries should break their silence so that Israeli forces are reigned in.
“It is the responsibility of United Nations peace keeping force and non-aligned countries to strive for peace in Gaza.
The peace keeping force needs to be strengthened and it should include members of the different countries of the world. The Western Block also needs to chip and play a positive role in the establishment of peace,” said Raina.
The APSCC Chairman said that Parliament should condemn the Israeli aggression tooth and nail so that some diplomatic pressure is build upon the Israeli Government.
He said pressure from different quarters would mean that the Israel Government may be forced to stop the bombing in the civilian areas and that too at the earliest.
Raina asked the people of Kashmir to remain vigilant and not allow any anti social elements to take refuge in grab of agitation which costs in the loss of young lives.
He also asked the people more so youth not to take law in their own hands while raising protesting against the Israeli bombing.
